About the service

What does ChinaSiteReady actually do?

We mirror selected pages of your existing global website into a China-accessible site, replace or self-host the third-party resources that fail or block in mainland China, host it on AWS, and operate it for you. Standard delivery is 2–4 weeks. Your original global website is not touched.

What is the deliverable?

A China-accessible URL (your subdomain or one we provide), serving a fast, reliably-rendering version of up to 25 of your pages, with before/after performance reports verified from inside mainland China and ongoing operations.

Do you build a totally new website?

No. We mirror selected pages from your existing website. The brand, layout, and content stay yours. Where compatibility requires it, we replace blocked third-party assets (e.g. swap Google Fonts for self-hosted equivalents) but we do not redesign.

Pricing & commercials

How much does it cost?

USD $5,000 one-time setup plus USD $500 per month for hosting and operations. Both fees are required to operate the service. Up to 25 pages and 50 GB of monthly CDN traffic are included; overage and add-ons are quoted on request. See Pricing.

Why do I have to subscribe to both fees?

The Setup fee delivers the launch project. The Monthly fee keeps the site live, fast, and monitored. Without ongoing operations, the China Mirror Site cannot stay reliably online — SSL renewals, monitoring, regulator-friendly uptime, and small content syncs all require continuous engineering attention. That’s the recurring fee.

Do you offer annual prepay or volume discounts?

For an annual prepay of the Hosting and Operations fee, we offer two months free (effectively $5,000/year instead of $6,000/year). For multi-site engagements with a single customer, we will scope a discounted bundle on request. Email chinasiteready@autoinfra.cn.

Can I procure outside AWS Marketplace?

Yes. AWS Marketplace is convenient but not required. We accept direct contracts and bank wire payment in USD or RMB. Some EU customers prefer this so they can issue VAT-compliant purchase orders.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

The Setup fee is non-refundable once project work has begun (testing, scoping, ICP path discussion all count). For pre-paid Hosting and Operations periods after a termination caused solely by our uncured material breach, we refund pro-rata.

ICP, China entity, domains

I don’t have a China entity. Can you still help?

Yes. We have three deployment paths. Path A: you already have a China entity — you file ICP under your own entity and we provide path consultation, document checklist, technical coordination, and the go-live switch. Path B: you have a domain but no China entity — we operate under our China entity and file ICP under our company. Path C: you have neither — we provide a subdomain on a domain we own. See How it works for the full breakdown.

What happens if ICP is not approved?

ICP filing is reviewed by mainland China authorities and the hosting access provider. We do not control approval. If the filing is delayed, rejected, or fails for reasons related to your materials, your domain, your content, or regulatory rule changes, that is not counted against our delivery timeline (see Section 5 of our EULA). We will work with you on alternatives, including different domain choices, content adjustments, or temporarily falling back to non-mainland hosting. The Setup fee is not refunded for ICP review outcomes.

If we use Path B or Path C, who is on the hook for content?

We are. Where we operate the site under our China entity, we own the ongoing content review and any required takedown handling before mainland China authorities. We will only accept Path B or Path C engagements where the content fits our acceptable scope and does not require a special-industry license. You remain responsible for the underlying lawfulness and accuracy of the materials you give us.

Can you just file ICP for us and let us run the site ourselves?

No. If we are the operating entity of record, we are the operator. “Borrow our ICP without us actually running the site” is one of the few requests we explicitly refuse, because it puts both parties at regulatory risk.

Data, security, compliance

You are a Chinese company — is our data safe with you?

The Service is intended for static informational marketing content. We don’t accept transmission of personal data of natural persons, payment data, or sensitive categories through the Service unless a separate Data Processing Agreement is signed. See Security and DPA.

What service providers do you use?

The main ones are AWS (Global and AWS China), PostHog (analytics for our own marketing site only, not deployed on customer mirror sites unless requested), and a handful of operational tools (email, internal communications). The exact list at the time of contract signing is included in the Data Processing Agreement.

Are you SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?

Not yet. Independent third-party certification is on our medium-term roadmap. We answer SIG / CAIQ security questionnaires in writing, will sign a mutual NDA before deeper diligence, and will sign our standard DPA where required.

Will you sign our DPA / our security questionnaire?

Yes for both. We accept standard customer DPAs in most cases. We answer the standard security questionnaire formats (SIG Lite, CAIQ, custom) without additional charge. Email chinasiteready@autoinfra.cn with the document and your timeline.

Operations & ongoing changes

How do I update the site after launch?

Email us the page changes — copy, image swaps, link updates, new sections under 25-page total. Small ongoing changes are included in the Hosting and Operations fee. Larger redesigns or new sections are scoped separately.

What is your uptime?

We do not contractually guarantee a specific uptime percentage, and we are honest about that. In practice, the China Mirror Site is backed by AWS regional availability and tracked through external synthetic monitoring; uptime is reported in the monthly performance report. If you require a contractual SLA, we can scope one in a separate enterprise agreement at additional cost.

What if your company stops operating?

The China Mirror Site source is always available to you in a Customer-readable form (HTML/CSS/JS) and we will provide an export on request. For Path A (your domain + your entity), the only thing that changes is the operator; you can move hosting to any other provider with no licensing entanglement. For Path B/C, the wind-down is more involved because we are the operating entity of record — we will work with you to migrate to your own entity (or another operator) and transfer or release the domain or subdomain.

What is your support response time?

Email-based support, Monday to Friday 09:00–18:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8). Target initial response within five business days. For an enterprise SLA with a faster guaranteed response, ask us — we’ll quote.

Do you provide source files / a packaged copy of my mirror site?

On request, we provide a snapshot of the static assets that make up the China Mirror Site (HTML, CSS, JS, images). We do not transfer the operational tooling (deployment templates, monitoring configuration); that’s our infrastructure.

Other

I have an unusual case — will you take it?

Email chinasiteready@autoinfra.cn with your URL and a short description. We are honest about scope: for projects that need full SaaS localization, payment, accounts, or regulated-industry licensing, we will say so and recommend an alternative if we can.

Can I see your terms before I buy?

The DPA and Security pages are public. The full EULA is shared with you during the purchase process — through AWS Marketplace if you procure that way, or by email if you contact us directly. Just ask.
